GLUED.

So I was surfing the good ol' net and found a very exciting artist. Her name is Shelby DiMarco and I really like her work. She also works at Urban Outfitters. Dream.

DEAR DIARY.

So we started back at university this week which is very exciting. I had a meeting about my second year and it was very very exciting. But the most exciting event I was at, was the freshers fair today with some lovely WI ladies trying to recruit new members (the girls got 200 people to sign up!) and the fresh-faced beauties who were there made me very excited for the up coming WI events.

And I met my friend's new puppy. Very Excitable.

CRAFTY JUNGLE.

Over the summer I started a few craft projects to avoid doing actual work. Some were more successful than others but what with the revival of Brighton University WI I thought it might be nice to share them.

Today it is the turn of the abolishment of Blue Tack. I decided my new room in my new house should be more grown up so I put picture frames up instead of just blue tacking pictures of my friends. No friends, no blue tack. JOKE. Still no blue tack.

PROGRESS.

Over the summer I tried to make sure I did some drawing. Partly to keep myself entertained but also to help me start thinking about what it is I want to achieve in my work this year. So I started drawing what was around me and as a result, most of it was of rooms and windows in my Boyfriend's house and the odd photograph I liked. I really want to work on the quality of line in my work which I feel is a little stale.

DRAWING ON A POINT.

Crush of the Week: DAVID DO ME HOCKNEY.

I tend to find that whilst I'm trying to work out something in my work, I get infatuated with particular artists. Hockney is my flava of the month. I never much liked his paintings particularly, maybe because Ive spent too much time in Ikea looking at their frames, but his drawings and prints are magical. I dare you, try looking though '72 Drawings by David Hockney' and not want to be a gay man in LA during the 60's and 70's.
